Overview
This is Part 2 of the Child Protection training, also referred to as Child Protection Dynamics. This three-day advanced child protection course is suitable for staff with child protection experience. It provides participants with the theoretical perspectives about abuse and neglect that underpin best practice child protection intervention, and is integrated with knowledge about child development and indicators and effects of abuse, to enable participants to maximise positive outcomes for children, young people and carers.
Pre-requisite! Participants must have completed the “Identifying and Responding to Risk of Harm” training course or possess equivalent prior knowledge in the area of child protection. This course does not focus on mandatory reporting requirements.
